Wanna-Be ... RUNNING IN THE MOUNTAINS!
Dr. Naughton’s specialties include pediatrics and sports medicine with her past achievements strongly influencing her approach to healthcare. From the age of 8 she excelled as a track and field athlete while growing up in Ireland. Her evolution through the regional to national levels in sprints and jumps culminated with a national championship in the triple jump at age 17 and more recently as an Irish team member competing in the 2017 IAU 24 Hours Ultramarathon World Championships. Dr. Naughton strongly believes that the secret to healthy living depends upon making wise, evidence-based decisions about nutrition and physical activity. As an avid endurance athlete she wishes to work with others who are motivated to achieve their personal best, whether that means completing a 5K or 100 mile trail race, reducing their dependence upon medications, or achieving a weight loss goal and a healthy body composition.
When not treating patients, Dr. Naughton is either training for her next endurance race, spending time with her family hiking, skiing, and running, or tending to the assortment of barn yard animals and pets on her ever growing farm in La Conner.
“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.” John Muir
